Welcome to the Glen Cairn Community Association

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to ALL! In 2003 we moved to quarterly meetings with the provision for special meetings as needed to deal with any issues that residents want tabled. This move allowed for more attention to be focused on our developing special events such as Glen Cairn Days, A Safe Halloween, and Christmas in Glen Cairn, the Sandra Ball Recognition Award for our community's youth and other initiatives. We will continue this schedule until further notice.

The GCCA is planning several events in our community this year and would like your help if you are able to volunteer in any capacity. Check News and Calendar for upcoming events or contact us with your suggestions for events and meetings. We also hope we can count on your support!

We sponsor awards for residents of all ages. Please consider nominating someone you know by contacting the GCCA and watch for details on the next award ceremony.

  • Glen Cairn 2011 Christmas Celebration of Lights - Winners Announced

    "We have a tie for first place this year.

    Between 15 Rickie Place, Patricia and Kevin Doucet. Kevin's ingenuity has been stopping traffic on Rickie Place. He has synchronized 9 Christmas theme songs with a computerized light show tuned into his own radio station 92.7FM and our other winner is Linda and Pete Therien of 25 Melanie Crescent. The Therien's are no strangers to this contest. The Therien's have been lightening up Glen Cairn for quite a few years. Their efforts have rubbed off on their neighbours.  Once again Melanie Cres. has earned the Honours for "Best Street" narrowing beating out Winchester Drive.

    The Doucet's and Therien's hard work should be enjoyed by all this Holiday Season.  A special thank you goes out to Hazeldean Mall and Home Hardware Kanata for providing the prizes.
