Bill Connelly Continues To Help Residents of Glen Cairn and Kanata

Are you finished high school and not sure what to do next?

The Glen Cairn Community Association is pleased to announce a new opportunity for residents considering joining the building trades through our Bill Connelly Educational program.

In recognition of the man who built much of our community based on his vision of a place where families would love to call home, we have started a program to develop more builders with strong community spirit just like Mr. Connelly.

With the support of our sponsors, this program will be expanded so watch for more details. Please submit any ideas you may have that will help ensure all our youth have the community support to be able to make the choice that is best for them.

We will contribute $500.00 to the cost of your tuition in an approved apprentice program if you have the following qualifications:

• Live in Kanata;

• Qualify for admission to a recognized trade school;

• A letter of reference, and

• A record of volunteer service in the community.

Please send us an email or letter confirming that you meet the above requirements and outline what you will do to promote community spirit as Bill Connelly did if you are chosen.
