    City of Ottawa staff is expected to report to council on possible causes of the recent flooding this coming Wednesday September 2, 2009 at 10 am. We encourage anyone who can join us at city hall to do so in support of your community. This is an issue that clearly affects us all as it has the potential to impact our property values and our insurance coverage throughout the community.     To allow people to get specific information on what happened on their street so they can ask questions and provide comments.<br />Staff will be there from Infrastructure Services (the department conducting the investigation), Wastewater and Drainage, Legal Services, and Public Works.     The 12th Annual Bell Capital Cup will play host to thousands of local, national, and international young Pee Wee and Atom aged hockey players and their families throughout this coming holiday season. Many Kanata based teams will be participating - Come on out and cheer on our Boys and Girls. At the same time let's show the world some Canadian Hospitality. Several Kanata teams are billeting players from all over the world. As far away as China and Korea.

    March 26th, 2011 Don Cherry's will play host to “Raising Funds to Raise Spirits – the Ian Cope Fundraiser”, a benefit where 100% of the proceeds will be donated to Ian to cover the costs of rehabilitation equipment. This event will will feature a fun-filled night with live bands, DJ displays, 50/50 draws, raffle draws and much, much more! Entry is $10, but make sure to bring some extra money for games, you could go home a victor in any activity, but everyone will leave a winner by helping someone in need!
